The AX8 launched with the improvements brought by Quantum Modeling on the Axe-Fx and with it came the streamlined CPU usage as well. We previously made a chart comparing the CPU improvements of QFW 1.01 to the previous usage QFW 1.00, and this chart is similar.

In it, we show the CPU usage of all Blocks and effect Types of the AX8 on its first firmware, FW 1.00. Just as a point of reference, we included Axe-Fx QFW 1.01 data in this chart. Now of course, it is not a fair comparison as the two units use different processors. But for those familiar with the blocks on the Axe-Fx, it’s nice to have some point of reference.

Note that all blocks are loaded at Default Settings, and only the Type is changed. Also no USB was connected and no audio was being processed (no guitar being played, audio coming out, etc.). All values are within +/- .1% or so. This chart is for general reference only as the values can change due to parameter settings within the blocks.

First is a Google Doc embed best viewed on a computer.  Below it is a plain table better for mobile.
